DAVID MCDONALD-TAKING OSI GROUP GLOBAL

It is always an inspiration to follow successful people and get their story. Today, the stage belongs to David McDonald. Mr. David holds the positions of the president and Chief Operating Officer to the giant company in food production and distribution, OSI Group.

David’s journey to the top seat started after he completed his university course in 1987. At the Iowa State University, David McDonald pursued a degree in Animal science following his interest in biology and agriculture. Even though he started at the bottom, David worked hard, and 30 years later, he is not only the president of OSI but also the North American Meat Institute Chairman.

Throughout the OSI group’s achievements, David has been there to witness the company grow. He has collaborated with OSI logistics in order to assist the company make the necessary steps in the changing market. David McDonald understands OSI is based on meeting customer expectations and so he seeks to establish a local culture for markets thanks to the local marketers.

OSI has established partnerships with companies in the food industry such as Baho food. For David McDonald, this has been in accordance with OSI’s vision for food sustainability. He strongly supports the company’s quality services which are evident through the many customers that keep their relationship with OSI group.

It has not been all smooth; however, David had to deal with infrastructure challenges in the chain of operations. The way to solve this according to Mr. David is to work with the government agencies to secure success. McDonald expresses his satisfaction with the company’s ability to set up facilities globally. David is hopeful that despite all the technical and infrastructural challenges, OSI will have a breakthrough in the new market.

The OSI president is determined to see the company continue its growth. One thing that has made all this possible is his relentless efforts for innovative solutions to encounter the evolving world while still providing value to OSI clients.

Finally, David is time conscious, and he has made the necessary steps to time management including reading a book by the title- Time Management from a Cross-Cultural Perspective. He can budget for his time and switch time zones without any challenges.

Robert Ivy’s change at AIA

Introduction

Robert Ivy is the not only the chief executive officer but an executive vice president of the American Institute of Architects as well. He earned the position the CEO back in 2011 after proofing through his admired work globally. During his undergraduate course, Robert Ivy majored in Arts where he specialized in English from the University of the South. Career

The changing moment in his life came when he was appointed as the chief editor of Architectural Record. Later on, he rose to the position of the editorial director and vice president of McGraw-Hill Construction Media. The construction media included Greensource: SNAP and The Magazine of Sustainable Design. Additionally, he was among the members of the panel that selected Mr. Gehry to design the National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. During the same year, he was a principal at dale as well as he took part in criticizing national publications.

Achievements

Under his leadership, he managed to get various awards for the Architectural Record. Some of the most recognized honors were the Unusual achievement for a professional journal, premier magazine journalism award and the American Society of Magazine Editors National Magazine Award for General Excellence. Furthermore, he also brought 26 Jesse H. Neal Awards and the 2008 MPA Digital Award for the Website of the Year to Architectural Record. Deirdre Baggot Finds Solutions For The Healthcare Industry

Deirdre Baggot began working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1997 as a staff nurse, and later, a resource coordinator and administration manager. She moved on to The University of Michigan Health System after six years there. She became a business analyst and an administrative manager. While there for three years, she was given an outstanding leadership award and her Lean/Six Sigma certification. She went on to the Cardiac and Vascular Institute to be a senior administrator in 2006. She oversaw acquisitions, business development, marketing, payer contracting, and recruiting. She helped the institute establish 11 clinic locations.

Her success allowed her to become a senior vice president at GE Healthcare Partners. She headed a new payments consulting organization with an annual revenue of $6.6 million. She was also the lead for CMS Acute Care Episode’s Bundled Payment Demonstration. She was the Senior Vice President of GE Healthcare from 2010 to 2016. Deirdre Baggot received her Bachelor in Nursing from the Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She obtained her Masters in Business Administration from the Loyola University Graduate School of Business in Chicago. She then became a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado in Denver.

She was the keynote speaker at the BP Congress, ACHE, AHA, HFMA, IHI, Innovation Summit, Medtronic, and the P4P Summit. She once helped find solutions for problems in the healthcare industry as the chair for the National Bundled Payment Summit. She has written over 20 bundled payments, payment transformation, and healthcare reform papers. She went on the National Public Radio’s Morning Edition as the featured expert. The segment was called, ‘All Things Considered and Planet Money.’ The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services appointed her an expert reviewer.
