McWilliams has also represented the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Andrea McWilliams holds the distinction of having been a Chief of Staff at the young age of 21. The public relations company, Public Strategies, is where she developed grassroots skills for navigating the private sector. As co-founder of McWilliams, a full-service firm that consults in governmental affairs, she is trusted and respected. She is able to conduct business at the local, state, and national level.

The role of a lobbyist is making sure that government officials are privy to both sides of an issue. This helps the officials make sound decisions. The lobbyist represents associations and businesses to elected government representatives. Lobbyists research, monitor, work with coalitions, educate, and attend hearings. A hallmark of their success is the ability to connect with government agencies and key policy makers. While they may not win all the time, what matters is their ability to represent the issues and needs of client policy makers.
